Grace's Story
Life
I am writing this biography for my mother Grace Pierce who died three years ago. I was hoping to contact a friend of hers that wrote a letter 64 years ago when my mother was a newly wed in Georgetown, Maine. When Grace left Malden, she met and married my father Jim Oliver who was eight years her senior. Grace was only one month shy of sixteen when she was married. She had a daughter Judy, another daughter Sharon (me) and lastly a son Jimmy Jr. My mother attended Malden High School 1939-40. She lived in Malden for two years, and I think she also attended Beebe Jr. High. I want to learn more about my mother's life in Malden, MA and I am hoping that some of her classmates that remember her will get in touch with me. If you check out my announcement you will see what was contained in the letter that my mother received from her close friend Beverly "Scoop". That letter prompted me to join Classmates....Expand for more
I don't know Beverly's last name, someone one out there no doubt does. Grace moved to Omaha, NE (where I live)when she married my step father Paul Thompsen in November 1947. She was an excellent mother and homemaker, and never stopped learning. She taught others about the bible, and she studied the bible herself for more than forty three years. She also did some redecorating which she had a wonderful flair for. She was asked to decorate a model home when we were in high school. She was a beautiful woman who updated her appearance as the years went by. She remained enthusiastic throughout her whole life, and had such a good sense of humor. I just found the address of her friend Beverly, who I now think may possibly be Beverly Merrill and she lived at 223 Madison Street in Malden. Please Email me if you know where Beverly might be. I have given Grace Pierce as the Email person, but that is my Email.
