Grant's Story
I finish high school in 1958. I work at a diary company until April 1959 and joined the USAF expanding acareer of 36 plus years. Retired as a Chief Master Sargent. I went to FORMOSA OR TAIWAN for 21 months and return to Blytheville, ark for 18 months and then return to Taiwan for three more years. After leaving Taiwan in 1966 I went to Selma Ala for three years. I went to Vietnam for one year and then return to Pope AFB, NC. I spent three years at Pope and then went back overseas to Athens Greece where I spent three years. After leaving Athens Greece I came to Eglin AFB, Fla where I stayed for ten years then retired from the U.S. Air Force. Six months later I got a low level GS job with the Air Force Budget Group where I spent the next five years. ars as a GS-12. I return back to Eglin in 2003 and reitred from Civil Service in Jun 2006. I have been retired from all jobs since that time as I was rated as a 100% disable person. I have been down graded to 90% since my cancer had gotten better. I do very little now days due to my being 90% disable. I consider my life as being very good most of the time. I do a little yard work and watch TV a lot. I live with my Son James and Wife Libby who was born in Kaoshuing Taiwan. We have been married since 8 Feb 1964. We had three childern two girls and one boy. Most of my relative are gone as well as my wife relatives. I am now 72 and hope to live out a full life with my wife and children. I have one grandson who is the apple and pride of my life. He is four years old and smarter then a ten year old. My call sign is PITBULL.
