Greg's Story
Where to start.... After High School I left the state and went to Linfield College in Oregon...
Loved working in the communications department and being a DJ on the College radio station. Decided that was what I wanted to do so I left college and went to a broadcasting school in Seattle... Worked in Eastern Washington at three radio stations and found out you really do not make any money in radio...
So that lead me to work for a movie distribution company as a buyer of their advertising. Which then lead me to be a credit manager for a company back in Oregon specializing in advertising accounts. Loved the credit scene and found myself working for a bank as as credit officer. Bank income is not the best either (Great at titles but lousy at pay) So three employers later I find myself still working in credit but as a Credit manager specializing in problem credit. That pays the money.
I have been married now for 29 years. How she puts up with me is a mystery. Being a father is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have a daughter 24 years old, who is now out working in the world in th...Expand for more
e marketing department, of a large video distribution company. My son is now a Junior at the same college as I went to. He is a electronic arts genius who can do amazing things with a computer. I know I am bragging, but I am the dad. Did you expect me to do anything else?
In my spare time I am an active volunteer working for the largest government parks and recreation district in Oregon. I serve on two advisory committees and the budget committee. It is so much fun spending 36 million of tax payers dollars. I am also active in the Linfield College Parents Leadership Council.
I love to travel. Sailing is passion where when it comes time to retire, I will be taking my sailboat and escaping the world. South Pacific here I come. Active fisherman with my son as you can tell by the photo.
Made the 30th class reunion did not make the 35th... Looking forward to the 40th.
I am a Meadowdale Chief. I will always be a Meadowdale Chief and no mater what those young wippersnapers say who are there now, they are a Meadowdale Chief. What do you think? Drop me a note let me know what you are doing.
