Greg's Story

Life Out of high school I went directly into the armed forces the draft was right on my heals. Received an honorable discharge 4 years later and came back to Sheboygan, WI. Married in 1978. One child, son's name is Benjamin(26) My first wife and I divorced a few years later. Remarried in 1987. One daughter, Brittany(19). I worked different jobs after the military. Went to Lakeshore Tech College for a couple of years but school wasn't for me. Joined the Wisconsin Army/Air National Guard as a part-time soldier in 1980. Went acive duty with the WIARNG in 1985 and retired from the military in 2001. Great career. Traveled, trained with some outstanding people from all over the United States. Great memories! Currently, working part-time jobs. Had some health issues mainly cancer. Got over it with surgery. Overall, doing pretty good. Like to go to Manning's Pub in Sheboygan for beverages and socializing. Used to be Max's back in the day. I have one pet. West Highland White Terrier(WESTI). Name is Zoe. She is my sweety! And she knows it! She is 5 years old and brings much joy to my family. ck again some day. Enjoyed the country of England for 5 days some years ago. Have family there. Love that country. Vacationed many time going to the East coast. Have gone to Key West and Maryland and many places in between for vacation over the years. Love the ocean! Enjoy civil war battlefields when I can get to them. Went to Vegas this past Jan 2007 for my first time and enjoyed it thoroughly. Looking forward to going again. Don't gamble much but enjoy the Las Vegas area for it's entertainment and glitz Currently, I'm just enjoying life, taking one day at a time. Military Enlisted in the Air Force August 1971 through July 1975. Worked for the 363rd Supply Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, SC. Stationed there for 18 months appx. Had duties in administration. Gravy job! Took a volunteer assignment to Instanbul, Turkey, 1972-1973. Worked at the international airport handling incoming mail cargo. Lived in Instanbul proper with fellow Air Force members and Army personnel. Quite an assignment. Ship to Eglin Air Force Base after Turkey. Worked with the Material Facilities section of the 33rd Tactical Fighther Wing. Pretty good duty. Worked with some excellant people!
