Greg's Story
Life
My wife, Susan, and I got married Sep 3, 1977. We had a short period where we were divorced, but remarried on Sep 3, 1990. We like counting from the first time. Our two children are out on there own; a daughter who's 30 and an adopted son that's 24. We have three grand-daughters by our son and his girlfriend. We have two dogs and three cats that we take camping with us (makes life interesting).
In 1973 I joined the Army; was stationed in Virginia and Germany as an MP. I got out of the Army in June 1976, met my wife and in February 1979 rejoined the Army. I received training to be an electronic technician. I've been to: Germany, with my wife and daughter; Massachusetts, where we adopted our son; two tours in Hawaii; many trips to Korea; a tour in Turkey; Fort Bliss, Texas; and...Expand for more
finally back to Virginia. I retired from the Army in Sep 2000. I now work for Lockheed Martin at the Pentagon as an IT Project Manager on the Pentagon Renovation Project. We have lived in our current home for 12 years - the longest I've lived anywhere since 1973.
I use a motorcycle to commute to & from work; it's a 2009 Yamaha Royal Star Venture. I have rode with Rolling Thunder the past three years; my daughter rode with me the last two - 2008 & 2009. We have a trailer for our camping comfort and a Chevy Tahoe to pull it with.
We renovated our 54+ year old home. It's more economical than moving. I'm only 8 miles from work, and around here that is a rarity.
If anybody comes out this way, give a holler and I'll get you through the Pentagon.
God Bless,
Greg
