Greg's Story
Life
My bio after 1984 starts out by attending school at U.N.M. for three semesters (I actually learned how to study finally). After UNM, I transfered to NMSU and graduated with a degree in B.A. with a minor in Spanish in Dec. of 1988. Shortly afterwards, I went to work out in Santa Ana, California as a Transportation Mgr.(that didn't last but 3 months--Company went broke). Within that time frame I returned back to Las Cruces and became a proud father of a beautiful girl--Amy Lynn Salopek. Teresa, NM. That lasted for a couple of years, then decided to go into Business for myself along with the help of Steve Cadena and many drinks at El Patio. The name of the business stared out as "Going Nuts in Mesilla" and eventually evolved into "New Mexico Pecan Company/Salopek Orchards". Currently, NM Pecan Co. sells Pe cans(raw and candied) to Wal-mart, Costco, and many other small retail outlets.
Five years after Amy was born, Dominic Ryan Salopek (mini-Greg to a T) came into this Hi-Tech world. Although I have two beautiful children, I never married--oops.
