Greg's Story
College
Attended Arizona State University from '79-'85. Graduated with Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance. Formed the "Side Street Strutters Jazz Band" in 1983 at ASU. In 1984, the band won the National Collegeiate Dixieland Jazz Band competition sponsored by Southern Comfort. We performed across the country doing TV spots and concerts. We performed at Disneyland in California. Disney hired the band in January of '85.

I wouldn't graduate until May of '85, so I went to school during the week and flew to California every Friday, working the weekends at the park. I would fly back Sunday night in time for school Monday morning. The band went full time in the summer. A few years later, we would be full time year round. The band was given their "End of Run" notice in August of '06. Our last day was September 4. We performed at Disney for 21 years, 8 months. Not a bad run for a musician.
