Greg's Story
Life
Hello you!
( gregboudah(at)msn.com )Days after I graduated I entered Boot Camp for the US Marines. I spent my 3 months there and then I was off to combat school. Which was located in San Diego. I spent some time there, and was ultimatly assigned the job of an light armored vehicle crewman. This was an outstanding unit, as well as very difficult to join. My first duty station was in 29 Plams Ca. (a wonderful little dust bowl just north of the Joshua Tree Ntl. Monument) During my three years there I was deployed out to Japan, Korea as well as Hawaii. After my first three years I left that unit and joined another. I moved to Quantico, Virgina for some military schooling on the new job. After the schooling I was awarded the title of Marine Embassy Guard. I moved from there in late '96 and I was off to guard my first post, Ameican Embassy Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I had a great year and a half there. I also managed to meet my soon to be wife there. Her name is Emma, she is an Iris...Expand for more
h national who was also living there. From there, Emma moved back to Ireland to finish College and I was transferred to Switzerland. While in Geneva, I worked with the U.S. President, The Secretary of State as well as some others. After 6 months of great skiing, little work and some shmoozing I managed to get transferred to Ireland so I could be near Emma. Shortly after arriving in Dublin I was sent back to Africa for about 5 months to assist the Marines on station after terrorists bombed the building in Tanzania (ruined the summer if you know what I mean). I left the active duty Marine Corps in April '99 and I now live in Denver Colorado. Emma just finished college in Ireland and has immigrated to the United States ~ she's great! I am currently an e-business manager for a Diamond importing company as well as a full time college student. In my extra time I work with the U.S. Marine reserves as a forward observer - keeps me honest!! ha ha.. Good luck..and best wishes!
