Greg's Story

Life Not that you want to see my bio, but if you're going to read it you'd better grab a Red Bull, or anything else loaded with caffeine. After graduation I pretty much worked at Ace Hardware in Zion to make some money before going off to college at Eastern Illinois University. College was fun and exciting, but also a lot of work. It was nice being on my own to meet new people, experience new things and pretty much just try and grow up. The roomates and friends I met on my first day I am still friends with now. I came home for major holidays but not much inbetween. That's how much I enjoyed being on my own. I graduated in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Communications. I got my first job in Chicago and moved to Desplaines. After three years I found a job next to the Sears tower and did the downtown thing for awhile. Some of you may have run into me from time to time at different bars and clubs in the area or around Schaumburg, when that was the big to do. Some of the hangouts were 34's, Mother's, Bootle...Expand for more
ggers, Snuggery(any of them) Milwaukee Road House, Poor Richards, Greenbay Roadhouse, Rockland Roadhouse. I'm sure these are bringing back a few memories. I met someone shortly before our ten year reunion and were married two years later. Six years later we had our first child, Lauren, then two years later we had Summerlyn. We now live in Spring Grove and I moved my department from Chicago to Gurnee. I am the Director of Credit Management at an Electrical Dist. HQ'd in Chicago. I've been here about 11 years now. I'm a huge Cub's fan as well as water ski, snow ski, camp and so on. I was actually at the double header game against the Pirates when the Cub's clinched the Division. I was one of the bleacher bums having a great time. Besides sports I also enjoy projects around the house such as remodeling and carpentry. I am currently finishing my basement for my future getaway room. That's pretty my all I can think of right now. Obviously there are more details from the past 23 years I've left out but this is all I have time for right now.
