Gregg's Story

Life After graduatuing from HS, I attended PCC, graduated then went to Cal State LA for a short time. Career decisions led me to Carlsbad in San Diego County where I started my career in law enforcement. I continued my college in San Diego and obtained my degree in business management. 7 years later, I moved to Santa Rosa and transferred to the Santa Rosa Police Department. I continued with school and received another degree in forensic psychology before retiring in 2004. My L.E. career brought me some incredible and extrodinary life expereinced - good and bad. I learned and lot, glad I servived and would not want to do it again - especially in this age of time. Having completed a 28 year in law enforcement, I couldn't sit still in retirement. Since I had a teaching credential, I went to work for the local JC part-time. I enjoy the teaching and have it just as, if not more rewarding, then law enforecement. Outside of my career, I was very active in all types of competitive motor sports. This lead to some professional opportunities that had considerable success. I became an accomplished water skier and competed on the ...Expand for more
national and international level. About 1997, I retired from the competition and now just enjoy the recreation with my former team mates In my personal life, I was married twice, 1 short term and 1 long term. Presently single, I enjoy catching up with old friends. I would guess it has been about 4 years ago that I visited TCHS. I had not set foot on the campus since graduation day. As you would imagine, the experience was interesting. What a bombardment of feelings! For a moment is was if TCHS stood still in time as the memories of those who shared those times with me, flooded through my mind as I walked the campus. Thinking how is was so long ago in the number of years, it was frightining how fast those years sped by. Time and economy have caused some changes at TCHS (i.e. indutrial arts classes I guess are no longer). I was thankful that I grew up at a time when things were better there. I am enjoying life and looking forward to hopefully having another reunion. I regret having been unable to attend the last couple of reunions. Now that we are in the retirement age, I hope more would be able to make the trek. Gregg
