Gregory's Story
I think around the time that the tornado went through Preston Heights and SugarCreek I had decided that JuCo wasn't where I wanted to be. I worked at Burger King, McDonalds for a while then landed job at K-mart in the Home Improvement dept was promoted to Manager and went to Hammond Ind. for a while. I had a few other jobs before I finally found something I liked. I ended up at Joyce Bottling Co. I got married and moved to Columbia MO so my wife could finish Nursing School. About 3 weeks after our 32nd anniversery she passed away. I have an adopted son and a grandson and a grand-daughter in the oven. I haven't worked now for almost 9 years, I'm on disability. I blew out a knee back in 1989 and had it fixed but not right and now in need of a double knee replacement.
I'm sorry to say I don't have any friends to hang around with so I try to stay busy doing odd jobs for my son.
I'm wanting to take a road trip soon. Drive from Chicago to LA on the old Route 66 but may have to take it in stages. Hopefully I can do the first two States in August.
