Gregory's Story
Life
Since my college days at UC-Santa Barbara, I've pretty much worked in high-technology industries--initially as an electrical and computer engineer, then later in sales of capital equipment, either to military electronics, computer, or semiconductor industries, based mostly on the west coast.
I'm single and looking, but I'm not trying too hard, because I'm fairly independent, and do enjoy the benefits of being single.
I travel often for business, but I enjoy personal vacations much more. Favorite destinations include the Greek islands, Turkey, most of Mexico, Thailand, Canada, Corsica, The Netherlands, and Hawaii.
Favorite U.S. cities include Las Vegas, New Orleans (food, Hurricanes, and jazz), DC (museums) and of course, LA, where I've lived most of my life. I have friends in the Entertainment industry, and dig the vibes emanating across the LA restaurants and nightclubs. I'm also a beach person, and like warm weather. Oh, and by the way, LA women are VERY easy on the eyes.
San Francisco (and the Bay area), where I currently reside, is a little too snobby, stuffy, and boring for me, but it's in the epicenter of the high-tech industry, so I gotta follow the money. I'm not a wine snob, I'm not into...Expand for more
rock climbing and mountain biking, and I don't like to surf in cold, shark-infested waters, so I mainly stick to golf and the martial arts.
Places I'd like to retire include Santa Barbara, San Diego, or the Oregon/Arizona combination as the former is rainy, and the latter is too hot during certain times of the year.
Places I'd like to visit are Eastern Europe, Iceland, Costa Rica, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, and more of southeast Asia.
Activities I enjoy include most water sports (including surfing, scuba, and snorkeling), Brazilian jujitsu, judo, golf, and working out. I used to compete in basketball, baseball, and track & field, but am now just a casual fan.
Other interests include gourmet dining, experiencing art museums, and the occasional philharmonic concert, although my radio dials are usually set on rock (old school and alternative), trance, or talk show stations. I also like old school blues.
I also like hanging out with friends, and catching up with old ones. Hence, this Classmates thing.
Also, anyone who wants to get a hold of Billy Anderson (San Francisco) or Craig Bardo (Nashville), please drop me a note, and I will get you their contact information.
Take care, and aloha.
