Gretchen's Story
Life
I am an art teacher!and..RETIRED!!!! I now have lots of time to spend exploring my own art, going to galleries, showing my work, and traveling to see our sons. I am married -this summer it is 34 years. My husband is an Accounting Professor in Stevens Point, WI. He is quite musical as well.
I am a pastel painter, specializing in landscapes, humans, still-life, seascapes and more. My favorite all-time place is the coast of Oregon. It is here that I find the most inspiration for my artwork.
Our oldest son, Damien is 31, and lives in Eugene Oregon. He is a photographer there. He is also a major-league mountain biker!
Our middle son, Dylan is 28, and is on for his doctorate at IU in Bloomington, Indiana.HIs instrument is the trumpet-you should hear him play!!!! He is newly engaged and there will be a wedding in the summer of 2008 in our family!!!

son, Aaron is 24. He lives in Boston, and is getting his masters in saxophone at the New England Conservatory. He sounds amazing! Go to:

Our lives are quieter these days, and our doggie, a ten year old chocolate lab, Sierra, is getting achey along with us. We also have a ferociously-scared kitty named Denali, and she is fiesty!! She keeps Sierra young at heart...
Art, music, dance and theater are my favorite events.
In May we visited Boston and saw an art show at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. It was a retrospective of Edward Hopper, one of my favorite artists...one of about fifty kazillion.....if the world was filled with more art and music, dance and theatre, we wouldn;t have terrible wars and hatred. If you've read this far, now you know that I am a DOVE!
Hopefully I will make it to the reunion in 2008--it should be good.
