Gretchen's Story
I left Merrimack in 1985 and have only been back to visit. I loved growing up in New Hampshire and am thankful mom and dad still live there. I met my husband at University and right after graduation he took a job with the United States Air Force. I have loved the many places we have lived and seen in the US and abroad. We currently are stationed at Ramstein AFB in Germany. In 1993 we both received graduate degrees from a private university, mine I do not plan on using as I love being a sahm for 11+ years now, but it is nice to have something to fall back on if needed. 20 years and have been stationed in AZ, CO, UT, Raf Alconbury UK, RAF Croughton UK, Incirlik AB Turkey and now Germany. We are looking forward to a possible assignment on the east coast or at least driving distance to family. We have 3 great! :-) bio kids all boys and in 2005 I made the journey to China to adopt our newest addition Poppy Le Tian, with my mom and my step mom in law. I have visited orphanages on 4 continents and these little innocents in the world really tug at my heart strings. I will forever be grateful to be an American and to have the opportunities in life that it has afforded me and my family.
