Gretchen's Story
December 2009, I had the sense that it was "just about time to reinvent myself." What a forecast That was. Almost immediately, my mom was diagnosed with a terminal condition, and I became "her person" for the remaining 2 months + 5 days of life. Confronting life and death was an awesome experience. Now she passed and I'm personal representative of the estate. Not a big estate, but what an amazing amount of personal treasures she had accumulated! to their eventual purpose and positions. My husband of 30+ years is finding that turning 60 is rattling his cage, a little. But what about myself? I'm a bundle of wanting-to-learn-some-more; which I have been aware of since attending Evergreen State College in its first couple years. (1971-1973) "Life long learner."
