Gus's Story
After high school, I hitchhiked around for a year.
Needed money, started working. Moved to Hollywood and played music for 3 years. Moved to Oregon and worked at a fruit packing plant for 17 years, then worked in a warehouse for a music mail order company for 2 years. ittle old Japanese ladies and the local post office for 8 of those years. We live off-grid in a pallet palace. No running water or electricity, we barely have a phone. Life is good. I run a little local Japanese store on the Big Island called Hirano store.
It's been around since 1917. Stop in when you visit the Big Island and say hello and I will buy you a bowl of our world famous chili! Shaka!
