Hey, All!
In an effort to keep my brain cells firing (they say use 'em or lose 'em) I recently passed my exams and became a national weather service spotter. My first activation was Ida, but nothing to report. The NC, VA, and NJ coasts actually got way worse damage that we did down here in Georgia--go figure. I'm studying to take my ham radio license exam (brain cells again), because 2 meter radio is the fastest way to call in a weather report. I have found...Expand for more
that at our age I have to turn off a few body functions in order to have enough synapses firing in order to study something like radio theory! Does anyone else have this problem yet?
Our feral cat rescue habitat is up and running, but the work is ongoing, like insulation, plumbing, heat. The climate is mild down here, so we still have time. Check out feralight.com--our new web site run by my daughter, Theresa
