Gwen's Story
Life
My husband and I met on a blind date in Mt. Vernon, IL. Since then we have lived in Effingham, IL and Big Lake, MN. My husband works in sales and both of our moves have been job related. Living in different areas of the country has been interesting and enjoyable, but not without regret. We have left both family and friends behind each time we've moved. These relationships are very valuable to us, but neither one of us have not been very good at keeping in touch. We are now farther away from our families than ever before which prohibits us from seeing everyone as much as we would like.
During my school age years, I also left many friends behind when my family moved. I'm hoping that classmates.com will help me to connect with some of those classmates and friends.
My Pets

She looks like a maltese and weighs in at 7 lbs. We recently adopted Dolly, a two year old Maltese.
We have 2 children, Amanda is 21 and Garrett is 19. Amanda is working towards a degree in Social Work and Spanish. She is attending St. Cloud State University and is currently studying abroad in Chile. She is having a wonderful experience and developing many great friendships. Garrett is in his second year at St. Cloud Technical College working in their advertising program. His current plans are to continue his education in Minneapolis next year and study music production/sound engineering.
My Job
After teaching Physical Education and coaching for 14 years (also taught Art and Computer classes), I went back to school and got my masters degree in Educational Media. I currently work as a Media Specialist in a high school of 950 students.
