Gwen's Story
North Springs was the gateway to many further adventures. I studied anthropology, geology, and psychology in undergraduate school and got a MA in psychology from Georgia State University. While in college I was a participant in a computerized language study with chimpanzees at Yerkes Primate Center at Emory University. After college I went into the computer field designing and managing large data centers for the State of Georgia Public Health. Later I worked as a Northrop Grumann consultant at...Expand for more
the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. I married Rick Darby from New York and we have one daughter who has a Georgia Tech MS in Architecture. She is now living in Sweden. This provides us with European visits that we truly enjoy.
I am currently retired and taking care of my mom who lives with us in Sandy Springs. I am studying painting, genealogy, and art. I have become competitive with my digital photography. My photographs hang in various places/galleries and offices throughout Atlanta.
