Gwendolyn's Story
I am over-the-hill, but hangin in there! 1974 was a mystical and wonderful year for me look in-between the couple of our 1974 yearbook prom picture and you see how black and beautiful I was then and still am.
I bought the house in Roland Park and Hampden next door to my mom where I was born and raised and then raised my wonderful daughter Stephanie (Princess Stephanie and I am now Queen Gwen)
We started a program at City High called Strong Wome of Today and Tomorrow (SWTT). She is a swimming champ and started a magazine at UVA called Pride for the blacks at UVA. She is smart, beautiful and now going to give me a grand-daughter, black and lovely as ever. I cannot wait until the end of March 2008 to look into my grands eyes, touch her hands, smell her, love her. Grandma, wow, I have come a long way baby!
I hope and pray the "Class of 1974 Northern High School" is doing fine, aging gracefully, and...Expand for more
fighting injustice.
Our school did not stand the changing times, I hope we did and we are passing our knowledge and wisdom down through the ages.
Love Gwendolyn Mary Marie Nicholas-Henderson-Rose aka Gwennie Nicholas.
My eyes are still beautiful and green, waist still small and my African hips can still shake up a storm! I am so happy somethings never change!
My "birdie" is three years old now!!! Princess Jadyn Aya(Fern) Johnson is so beautiful. She looks like MIMI her other Grandmaw but acts just like me!!! I JUST LOVE HER!!! I AM PLAYING WITH DOLLS AGAIN!!! My daughter only played school and still does at 25 years old(12 more credits to go)!!!
Birdie calls me NANA and Nanny when she wants something!!! The most beautiful brown baby anybody has ever seen!!!!
I am in love with.....TMI.
