H.C.'s Story
Hope to see many of you at the reunion this summer!!! Of course at my age,, the time of day for the reunion, coincides with when I'm usually taking a nap or sitting on the toilet. Sometimes, I do both at the same time, lol.
A quick note for those coming here from Jefferson High School - no I did not attend Jefferson however, I did attend WRJHS which split the class into JHS or WRHS in 1966. So, I know many, many friends at both JHS and WRHS. As far as yearbook pics go, the 1967 WRHS yearbook does not seem to be available.??? The only pics will be in the 1968 WRHS yearbook (I left WRHS before the 1969 yearbook came out).
After high school, I served in Army Intelligence, worked for Wood Brothers Homes and eventually joined United Airlines. I've been there for the past 35 years being based in Newark, Chicago, Los Angeles and now back to Denver. During this time I've been an Instructor, a Supervisor, an Operations Manager and am now a Flight Attendant. The latter allows me to have a very flexible schedule to care for my wife, who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 16 years ago.
Currently I live on the east side of town with my wife, two teenagers and ...Expand for more
the dog.
(My apologies for not having kept in touch since moving back here but I'm kept fairly busy).
For those of you still living in the "neighborhood" my oldest son (from a previous marriage) is the new owner of "Precision Edge Hockey" at the "Ice Ranch Arena" in Littleton....Tell him I sent ya! Say "Howdy" to me here and I promise to get back to you.
Update - as of June 2019...I still live in SE Aurora (too many things to "live down" on the west side), lol. My eldest son is still owns the hockey shop, my daughter is a Middle School Teacher (ironic) and my youngest is an Optician.
After 39 years with UAL, I took an "early retirement" in 2012 to better care for my wife. Unfortunately, after battling MS and Dementia, she passed away in January of 2018 of a Sepsis Infection (she's in a better place now).
Now a days, I'm trying to adjust to "single life", yet seem to remain busy. I told my kids I think I'm "speed dating". Every time I sit down next to a woman, they immediately get up and leave. And, as far as "friends with benefits" goes...sure, I'd love it if they have medical, dental, AARP and Silver Sneakers benefits, lol.
Drop me a note ifin ya feel like!
