HENRY's Story
I have had a blessed life. After high school I went to WKU for 3 years and on to UofL for 1 year. I traveled to Los Angeles to join the L.A.P.D., living in Santa Barbara Calif. After the LAPD experience I came back to Louisville and joined the Jefferson County police, which later merged into the Louisville Metro Police. I retired from the police with 31 years and joined the Jefferson County Sheriff"s Office for 7 years retiring from there in 2011. So after 38 years in law enforcement I have decided to give the rest of my life to my family of which I am married to Karen Cox and we have 6 children and 9 grandchildren to enjoy as much as we want to. Ireland and we travel there to see all my family on her side now that we are retired, and to Alabama to visit my wife's family. My wife worked at the Jefferson County Clerk"s office for 29 years and has retired also, making it easy to go whenever we want to go. We live in Fern Creek, Ky. by ourselves now with our little Yorkie and are thanking God for every day of our lives. I have learned from Sue Sue that we have a 50 year reunion in August 21st and I will be going to see how my fellow classmates have lived these last 50 years. So that's me in a nutshell and looking forward to seeing you all on August 21st and 22nd.
