Hal's Story
After graduation I went to work for my Cousin on their family ranch south of Rangley, Colorado ...training horses and working cattle. I worked for them until December 23rd 1985. I spent Christmas with my dad and little sister and then loaded my belongings in my pickup and moved to Ft Worth, TX
I met my wife (now ex-wife) shortly after I moved to Ft Worth. We were together for 5yrs before getting married in Dec. 1991. We have two beautiful boys together (Henry born Sept 1994 and Jack born Feb 1997) She and I were divorced August 2008 but still remain real good friends.
I make a living buying and selling real-estate and in 1991 I started doing Insurance Appraisals/Adjusting. With my Insurance work I have traveled all over the United States following Some of the well know Natural Disasters. In 2006 I bought 4 Semi Trucks and hired drivers to operate them. ation company. We got into the business so we could haul oilfield equipment to the Vernal area and haul hay back or at least that was the plan. High fuel and lack of constant freight ended our progress and we went out of the trucking business.
I miss Vernal from time to time but love the Ft Worth area and after my travels around the states I have no plans to leave here anytime soon.
I still have horses and ride as often as possible. I like camping and helping friends work their cattle. Spend a lot of time going to kids sports activities and hauling them around for their social events. i still like to draw and enjoy making art.
My family all still live in the Vernal area but don't get back home to visit them very often ...In 23yrs I have not been home near as often as me or my family would like ...the largest draw back of moving so far away. We ya'll take care and drop me a note if you feel it.
