Hans's Story
Life
Remember the tall Dutch foreign exchange student back in the days(?!), yep, that's me! Still tall and very foreign. It was hard for me to go back to my little country after that great "Oregon-affair". It took me a while to get used to the smallness again, but I managed. mpionships in 1993 and several top-20 spots in both the 100 and 200 meter. Personal bests of 10.80sec and 21.72sec. still stand. Because of an achilles injury I've been out for quite a while. I'm coaching young athletes right now, so I'm still involved in a great and satisfying way.
For the last 12 years I've been living in Amersfoort. A great city (130.000 people) in the middle of The Netherlands. I bought a nice appartment, which was finished spring 2005. I'm still busy getting everything in place, but it's starting to look like the way I want it!
Well, that's my short(est) summary of 15 years. Hope to read many more of these on this site and maybe we'll get in touch somehow!
Keep smiling and always fight for a bigger piece of the pizza!
