Harold's Story
After graduating from LHS, I spent 10 great years in Amherst getting 3 degrees in astronomy from UMass and a few months in Montreal taking an oil painting class. In 1974, I joined a private science & engineering-oriented company in northern New Mexico, and got married,. Two years later we moved back east to Maryland where we began a family and I started a 40 year career with The Johns Hopkins University. n that are spread across the country. I retired in Dec 2017, but continue to pursue my life-long passion for astronomy by remotely photographing the spectacular night sky at various observatories in Arizona, Nova Scotia, Chile, the Canary Islands and Namibia. The past two years have been trying for everyone as we all cope with the corona virus, political and social upheaval, and now the invasion of Ukraine, but our family is well and hopeful for the future.
