Harold's Story
Life
I am now retired and living in Haxtun, Co. It is a small town of about 1000 People and very quiet and peacefull. I am about 30 miles East of Sterling, Co on Hwy. 6. I got out of the Navy in 1967 and drove truck across country for 28 Years. I have 5 children living and one deceased ranging in age from 43 to 31. 4 girls, 2 boys. I am enjoying retirement now and just taking it easy. I have had two heart valves replaced, the first in 1980 and the second in 1994. but i feel great. Military
I joined the Navy in November 1957 and served for 10 Years. I was in the fire department at a navel air station in california and I was also stationed on the Island of Guam for 1 and a half years. I did a tour of 12 months in Vietnam and was on board ship throughout the western Pacific.
Iwas on the AFDM8 on Guam for 18 months. The uss ARD 26 in sandiego, the USS Vireo MSC205,and the USS Acme MSO508
