Harold's Story
After graduating from THS, I attended and graduated from Johns Hopkins University, and went on to work for the federal government for 30 years with first with the Army, then Health and Human Services where I met my wonderful wife, and then finally at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) where I rose to be the Chief of Staff of the Department, which is the 2d largest Department in the government. luential people in the Nation's Capital by The National Journal. At the time I retired I oversaw the daily operation of and policy setting for the 300,000 person organization.
After leaving the government I went to work in the private sector for companies that worked with and for VA as well as other federal departments for 21 years, retiring for good in March 2021. I have a beautiful wife of 42 years, 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren..
