HI everyone after high school I went to housatonic cc for one year,basically to play baseball.during that fall things were going real well in school and on the ball team but not so great at home. My father wanted me to play ball but he also thought I should be able to hold down a job to pay all of my expenses too. I found it impossible to go to school play ball and hold down a job so that fall I found out that 15 or so friends of mine were all going into the Marine Corps the following July. I figured why not me too, it would allow me to finish the year out at Housatonic and play ball in the spring then into the service. Everything went well with my ball playing that spring, I led off most of the year and moved in to play second base from left field which tightened up our infield, I hit .341 for the year, broke five records and was voted onto the all-region team that summer. My coach was pretty upset when I told him I wouldn't be coming back the following year. So July came and I was off to boot camp, I did well in the Marine Corps I guess the discipline my dad had taught me payed off because I was able to conform to the military way of life pretty easily and I managed to pickup rank pretty fast which made life a whole lot better for me. As a Corporal in just 11 months and making Sargent not to long after it was much better giver orders than having to receive them and it made the money much better, but even with that the Marine Corps didn't have a baseball team any longer (something they lied to me about prior to me signing up). so I played for the Marine All star softball team, playing shortstop all four years something I really enjoyed. I went to Japan in 1976 were I started working out with weights heavily everyday trying to gain weight still only weighting 138 pounds. With working out heavy everyday taking Amino Acids and a Protein mix I gained 40 pounds of muscle in just two short months what a surprise the first time my parents saw me after my time was up overseas. Coming back I got stationed back at New River in Jacksonville N. Carolina the same place I was stationed before I went overseas. It was OK with me tho because I could drive home from their just about any weekend I wanted to.After getting back to New River I got an Apartment out in town with another Corporal that I worked with. One weekend I Ask my roommate if he wanted to get out of Jacksonville and go somewhere else for the weekend he said ya how about we go to Little Creek in Virginia, he went on to explain that their was allot of women on the base because of some women's schools that were on the base well that sounded great too me, meeting some new women for a change so we loaded up my new Firebird I had just bought and drove down to Little Creek. well we went to Virginia Beach first, then went to Little Creeks Base Club that night. Walking into the club that evening I could see my roommate was absolutely write there was plenty of woman in the club most of them just with other woman not to many men in the club at all.After we had a couple of beers I told my friends I wanted to dance, I looked around to see what girl I would like to dance with when I saw a whole table of girls...Expand for more
