Life
Hello,
BBA and MBA from Western Michigan University.
Married Patricia McKeon, who I met at WMU, in 1966.
Two daughters, Traci (1967) and Nicole (1972).
Commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Adjutant General Corp and stationed for two years at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. Made some good friends that I remain in contact with, played softball, learned to play golf and enjoyed nickel beer nights at the Officer's Club.
Worked at Ford Motor Company from 1972 to 1999 in Human Resources. Began as a Safety Engineer at the Dearborn Glass Plant. After a couple years I transferred to salaried personnel assignments with a number of staff operations at WHQ, Truck Operations and Process Leadership.
First house was in Southfield, near Lathrup Village where I grew up. Next move was to Plymouth in 1977, then to Saline in 1991. In 1985 we purchased a small house on Lake Columbia, near Brooklyn, as a vacation home. This was a great family purchase as we spe...Expand for more
nt every weekend and vacations in the summer together enjoying the various lake activities. In 2000 we rebuilt on the same lot on the lake and moved here permanently in 2001.
At age 66, life is good. both daughters are successful in their carrers, have married good men and are raising good families. From March through October I golf with other retirees and friends. Lake living is enjoyable and relaxing. It is hard to beat sitting on the patio at 5:30 PM with Pati, drinking a margarita and reading the daily paper. We vacation in south Florida for a couple weeks in November and again in February/March. I volunteer one day a week driving vets to the Ann Arbor VA, do similar volunteer work with RSVP and help the local Habitat for Humanity office in their annual fund raising campaign.
My health is excellent. I continue to do strength and aerobic exercises.
Life turned out better than I could ever imagined. I hope everyone else is doing well.
