I was drafted in 1969 and ended up as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. I managed to survive that and came home and worked as a tool and die maker in Berkeley for ten years, then went back to flying and worked as a pilot in the Gulf of Mexico for over twenty years. After a crash in 2003, I was grounded for almost eight years. I am now back flying helicopters in the Gulf of Mexico and have about four more years until our land is paid for and I can retire.
