Harry's Story
Since my days at good ol' BHS, have done numerous things in my life, joined the Army in '68, was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg, N.C., then went across the big pond and spent some time in that vacation wonderland called Viet Nam, came home a bit worse for wear, knocked around aimlessly, moved to Arkansas to rediscover my inner self, that was a bust! Worked as a carpenter, got married , 2 beautiful daughters, various vocations,moved back to Dundee, Il., got a divorce, knocked around a bit more, college part time on GI Bill. Got married again, transferred all over the southeast and north, ended up in Northern Indiana, started a construction company, bought a small farm, got another divorce, moved to Arizona in '98, worked a while bu...Expand for more
ilding custom homes, retired in '06, currently reside in Toltec, Az. with my lab Digby, who is forever in the pool in back yard. Spend my days on my Harley, cruising the highways or in my Jeep exploring the desert, and occasionally hook my truck up to the boat and head to one of the lakes to teach worms how to swim. Or hang out at the local watering hole spinning yarns and swapping lies! Evenings spent on back patio sipping martini's and throwing ball for "Dig!" Heat permitting of course. Life has been interesting to say the least. Retirements not so bad as long as I have feminine friend to share a martini and converse once in a while. Good luck to all and wish all the best life has to offer as the days of our youth ebb away. One hell of a ride!!
