Harvey's Story
Pre-med (Zoology major) at Miami U morphed into teaching certification in secondary sciences and English. I arrived in Ann Arbor in '69, taught Jr. high and high school science classes 35 mi NW of here for 15 years, traveled around the world in a transition from teaching, sold ads for a local Ann Arbor publisher for 19 years, then worked on creating a new set of services for Jewish Family Service-Detroit (to help seniors stay in their homes as lo...Expand for more
ng as they want to). Married in '71 to an Ann Arbor woman I met at Miami U. She transferred to U of M, and I found a teaching job nearby. Divorced c. 10 years later. Learned plenty since then, and am applying it to growing closer relationships today. I live in a group situation with mostly grad students from UM since Fall 1987. I've recently enjoyed volunteering for area arts organizations often attending plays and concerts in trade for ushering.
