Hatira's Story

Life After graduating from Jeff, I went to Cally Trade School and was introduced to the computer world. I started working at Bank of American for 2 years then LADWP for 30 years. I am retired and now a Minister of the Gospel. I married a Pastor and we were married 28 years until his death. Now I am single and saved. In 1998 I accepted the call to the ministry to preach the gospel. I formerly served as Minister of Music, Sunday School teacher and Media Coordinator at the Rock of Faith Missionary Baptist Church where my late husband, the Reverend E. A. Taylor was Pastor. After being called to the ministry I attended Bethany Christian Bible College leading to a certificate in Systematic Christian Education. This course of Study focused on evangelism. In 1998 I furthered my education by attending the Crenshaw Christian Center Ministry Institute, graduated in 2000, earning the Outstanding student's Dean Award with a 4.0 GPA. In 2004 I earned my Associate of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from the Long Beach Bible Institute. That same year, I completed Ministerial Preparation at the Faithful Central Bible Church and was licenced by Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer where I currently serve as one of FCBC's ministers, CIT Growth Group Leader and Psalmist in the SPC choir. Additionally, I minister to hurting women at the Union Rescue Mission on skid-row. In April 2008, I launched my new CD entitled ¿Surrender¿. I also made my debut as an actress in the Musical stage play "The Gift". I have a son who just complete 13 years of Military service (Marines) and a daughter that sings, 6 wonderful grandchildren and I'm doing well. After being retired for 12 years, I've returned to the work envirement but it is more fulfilling than any job I've ever had. I have been launched by God into full time ministry with the Benny Hinn Minisitries and Trinity Broadcasting Network as a full time intercessor. I am so excited!
