Haywood's Story
Right after graduation I went to MCRD San Diego where I attended Marine Corp Bootcamp. After that I returned back to Winnie for awhile , then went to active duty.
I spent 6 years in the Marines and got out and moved to College Station in 1987 ,where my sister was living and started working there. I began an illustrious career as a cook at IHOP. I wound up getting married and divorced there, College Station, not the IHOP. In 1994 I moved to Pasadena Texas, and started working in the Chemical Plants around town. After a couple of years I became a instrument fitter and was just so happy I was getting paid more than minimum wage I was content to work any job. I kept that attitude and as a result I stayed employeed for the rest of that decade.During that time I started learning about scheduling ,kinda on the job training. The people in the plants found out I could read , so they started pulling me in the office to do paper work every now and then. Around 2000 , I got a wild hair and decided to try college , where I found out , I was pretty good at math , no matter what ECC transcript says.

en jobs in the plants and a friend told me I should turn my resume into the Boeing Company because they were looking for schedulers. I was pretty sure they didnt want a scheduler whose resume was : the Marines, IHOP and Brown and Root. But they called me in and interviewed me twice and hired me to work on the International Space Station Project. Which I did for 6 years. Then Boeing offered me a job in Huntsville Alabama working on the Ground Based Midcourse Missile Defense project , which I did for a year. Apparantly , for reasons I cannot fanthom , they seemed little concerned about the felony drug conviction I had picked up back in 87 and kept giving me a Secret Clearance.
Last year, I accepted another position with Boeing , still working on the Missile Sheild that seems to be pissing Russia off. Boeing has moved me to Arlington Virginia to work close to DC and the Pentagon and the Missile Defense Agency. I finally got an Associates in Mathematics , but what I do for Boeing is Cost and Schedule Analysis and stuff.
Also along the way I had a son 9 years ago and started playing the fiddle.
