Flew from Chicago, Illinois to Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, VA for Operations Specialist "A" school immediately after graduation. School lasted 15 weeks and graduated Dec. 6th, '96. Took 30 days to visit parents before I reported Jan. 6th '97 to my first duty station in Bremerton, WA to the USS Nimitz CVN 68. We did a 6 month world tour starting from San Diego, CA & ending at Norfolk, VA on Sep. '97 and returned Mar. '98. Visited Japan, China, UAE (4+ times)then pulled into Norfolk to start a 3.5 year shipyard overhaul period to refuel and upgrade a Nuclear powered Aircraft Carrier. After re-enlisting for 3 yrs, I left the Nimitz Aug. 24th, 2001 and went to shore duty in Northern Virginia at Naval Space Command which was renamed Naval Network & Space Operations Command. Met my wife, Bianca on base. Finished my 3 yrs there and decided to re-enlist again to go to Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i. Before I left though, I went to TDC school for 3 weeks back in Dam Neck, then left for Hawai'i Dec 12th '04. After doing 3 yrs there I decided to pick another ship to finish my 5 yr re-enlistment that started in Hawai'i, but since there weren't anymore openings...Expand for more
out there on another ship, I had to choose elsewhere and Virginia was my first choice since that's where I started from back in '98. I transferred Dec. 15th, '07 stopping in Texas and South Dakota to visit family for xmas then to Virginia Beach, Va and arrived Jan. 10th, '08 to complete the rest of my 5 yr re-enslistment as part of PC Crew India, PCRON, stationed in NAB Little Creek, Va. I served on three ship during that time. Then on Feb. 5th '08 went on another 6 month deployment out in the Persian Gulf patrolling two oil terminals, ABOT & KAAOT. Visited Kuwait, Djibouti, Africa, two ports in Oman and was mainly stationed in Juffair, Bahrain. We completed our deployment and flew out on August 1st. '08. Due to techinical issues on our plane in Portugal, we had to fly out the next day and arrived in Norfolk Aug. 2nd, '08. Now I have been home for about 3 months and my wife Bianca gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Kylie, 7 lbs 5.6 oz at 19 inches at 11:03pm, Aug. 22nd '08. Since her birth, I deployed for the last time Apr. 21, 2009 for 2 months to Bahrain. Now, I am separated from the Navy and am now a stay at home dad. It's been a challenge now for the last 2 yrs. Now I am part of the Virginia Army National Guard since Jan. '11.
