Heather's Story

Life has been interesting! Not always happy, but interesting. The first "big thing" that happened was that my little brother, Geoffrey Bryan, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in 1977, when he was still at Woodview Elem., and I was at Spring Woods Jr. High. I moved to Bolivia to live with relatives, and my older brother, Bobby, moved to our grandparent's farm. Before he died, Geoffrey attended Spring Woods, where people were very kind to him - there were even football players who volunteered to carry him up and down the stairs in his wheelchair - God Bless You, wherever you are... nter the workforce at 17. I moved to Austin in 1984, worked on The Drag and 6th Street, saw lots of live music, and wore funky clothes. Always the Bohemian wanderer, I lived briefly in Hawaii, went to college in Stephenville (where I was an honor student and got scholarships), then moved to the mountains of Arkansas to help care for my grandmother. I married a great guy 15 years ago, and have a grown step-daughter. Chronic illness has kept me out of the formal work world for years, so I keep busy with temp work and jewelry design. We've settled in the Austin area, and are rich in friends. Still love to travel...Oh, yeah, plan to write a book one day. Would love to hear from long-lost friends!
