Heather's Story
Life
I'm working on my degree at Troy University while letting the Navy pay for it. I have received my Associate's degree from PJC. Then went to UWF for a semester.
After high school, I went to PJC for one term while working at Target. I wasn't going anywhere so I decided to change it and joined the Navy. I was a Corpsman (medical). That was the best time of my life. I was able to experence the unique life in Japan. I would LOVE to go back there someday. Then I was medically discharged. Yep I'm a disabled vet. I broke my ankle while in Japan and surgery was unable to fix it. I am normal. You can't tell but when I get old, I will have lots of aches and pains. I got out and had a short (very short) job at the Sears Siding and Windows by University Mall. The job sucked but I met my best friend though it. Everything happens for a reason. At this point, I had the house, a guy, everything perfect. But I got pregnant and then a miscarriage. So things changed after that. All is good. s BORN. Yep this guy has known me ALL my life. Crazy huh? Other people that work up there remember me when I was in grade school in Va Beach , VA. This is a damn small world. So I have been there almost 6 years (Mar 2001) now. Yes I experenced 9-11 on NAS and that was difficult. I work with the Navigators of the world. You know the movie Top Gun, we train the Goose's of the future. LOVE MY JOB. All the guys, come on.. We train not only the US Navy, Marine, and Air Force, we train Germans, Singaporeans, Italians, and of course Saudi Arabian's. This is a very interesting job. You met alot of different people. I do know alot of the guys that are having to go over to Iraq but never look to see if they are missing, dead, or POWs. That would hurt way too much. I have had several previous students come back to teach here so it is cool to see how much they have grown up. I have changed ALOT from high school. I'm more outspoken and ALOT smaller. Been through too much to keep quiet. I will tell you what I think now. I can't believe we are 30. I'm loving life. So I hope everyone is well. Talk to you later.
