Heather's Story

After graduating Blacksburg High, I went to college at the University of South Carolina (Go Cocks!) where I started out as a marine biology major but finished with a degree in mass communications. (Too much partying and too little studying!) After graduation, I moved to Atlanta to try and find work but instead went back to school for pre-med at Kennesaw State University. Also got married and then went on to podiatric medical school in Cleveland, OH (Cleveland really does rock!). Did my surgical residency training in New York City and then South Jersey, got a div...Expand for more
orce, and then got a job in a group practice in Grand Junction, CO. Worked there for 6 years, got remarried, then decided I wanted to have my own practice. So my husband and I moved to Anchorage, AK almost five years ago, bought an existing practice and are doing well. I love Anchorage and cannot imagine being anywhere else right now. I do not have children (unless you count my husband!) but I do have two fur babies at home. I enjoy the outdoors (when I have time) as well as traveling, movies, reading (when I have time), and getting together with my friends.
