Heather's Story
Life
Basically, all is well in my little corner of the universe. I was divorced, but am recently remarried. I have a lovely 16-year-old daughter who is my pride and joy (not to mention my comic relief), and 4 step-children! I have interests and hobbies spanning many areas, but tend to find the most enjoyment in expressing myself artistically. My most recent accomplishment: Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Mathematics, and am currently completing my doctorate. I was remarried in June of 2013 after 13 years being a single. I am glad I waited for the perfect one! Four years ago I purchased a Farmhouse in Oxford (c. 1875) and have been renovating ever since. It's been a significant amount of work but the payoff is grand!
College

ral however I graduated in the Spring of 2005 with my Bachelor's Degree. I have a dual major, Physics and Chemistry, as well as a minor in mathematics. I am certified to teach Secondary Education and work in Utica Community Schools. I didn't love Mt. Pleasant (it doesn't have the culture and nightlife that I enjoy), but I have had excellent opportunities for leadership within the university setting. I served as the president of one of my honor societies, and as secretary for Phi Delta Kappa, a professional teachers organization that just opened membership to students. I coordinated and supervised various volunteer activities including the Toys for Tots distribution in Isabella county. I have also been involved in coordinating leadership training conferences. All in all, my plate is always full.
