Heather's Story
In June of 1964 I entered Rollins College in Winter Park, FL (suburb of Orlando) as a freshman. Six months after graduating from Waggener my family moved to Longmeadow, MA, a suburb of Springfield.
After graduating from Rollins in 1968 with a BA in English, I returned home to MA. There I managed a retail bookstore for 2 years and went back to school to take graduate courses in elementary education. It was too difficult to manage the bookstore and go to school, so I resigned my position but satyed on as an employee, knowledgable in children's books.

le!). After the school year ended in 1972, I moved to the Washington, DC Metro area to live with my parents until I could find an apartment.
Before that happened, though, I met a man in September and we married 2 1/2 months later! Not quite 3 years later in 1975 our first daughter was born. In January of 1979 our second daugher was born.
I have lived in MD since moving to the Washington area, and I have lived in the same house since 1978.
My husband died after a long illness; I have been a widow almost 10 years. One of my daughters is married. I have no grandchildren yet, but I am looking forward to them! Each of my girls wants children.
