Helen's Story
I retired from teaching High School Chemistry in SC after teaching 32 years. The challenge was teaching in 9 different schools during this time. My husband is a Navy Chaplain. We moved 15 times in our 35 1/2 years of marriage between Graduate School and active duty. I even had the opportunity to teach overseas in Guam. A position opened up at an IB school while we were stationed there. g AP Chemistry again now for three years. My husband will remain on this base for his final tour which means I can stay at Camden County High School - my 10 th school. Ted must retire at 62, we have 3 more years of active duty. Traveling all over Asia and Europe has been one of the highlights of military life! We have 3 married children and 4 granddaughters. Fortunately for us three of the granddaughters live 20 minutes away in Yulee, FL. I'll continue teaching as long as I fill fulfilled in doing the job of making a difference with the lives of our youth!
