Helen's Story
Life
I am married to a wonderful man named Steve. We have two grown children. Brandon, who is 29, and Brandy, who is 22. Brandon is engaged and lives about 30 minutes from us. Brandy was married last June to a great guy. Yes, I really do like my son-in-law. They live in West Palm Beach, FL so she can attend Atlantic University School of Pharmacy. We have no grandchildren yet, but we do have a grand-dog named Zoe. My husdand and I enjoy attending anitque car shows. We have a 1971 Chevy Nova we show. College
I returned to Central Lafourche to finish my high school education. I then continued my education at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Elememtary Education. Later, I returned to Southeastern to obtain a Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision of Education. I have since added a plus 30 certification on to my Louisiana teaching certificate.
Workplace
I teach sixth grade at a public school in Ponchatoula, LA. I also mentor new teacher candidates from Southeastern Louisiana University.
