Life
Attended Bruni HS sophomore year '50-51, graduated Goliad HS '53. Secretary to Director of Balcones Research Center UT/USAF/SAM Austin; met & married husband David '54, 4 children, 2 girls, 2 boys. moved to Ft Worth '60, David graduated tcu '64, moved to Missouri where David pastored Disciples of Christ churches until '73, returned to Texas to pastor Dallas church - (Nolan Estes, former Bruni HS coach & teacher was Supt. of Dallas schools; 3 of our kids went to schools in Oak Cliff) before returning to Missouri '76. 5 g-kids, 1 g-g-son. Happily retired in '96 after 20 yrs as a medical secretary in a Cardiology practice.
David retired briefly before starting...Expand for more
a small church with the handicapped, now in it's 7th year. With all our family living in the Kansas City area, we stay busy with family gatherings, church, gardening & social activities...... no rocking chairs here!
Often think of Johnny Custer (my lst beau), Mary Esther Pickens (who went to lst Baptist Church), Roger Towns & the kids who lived in the United Gas camp where my dad was employed that year before being transferred to Goliad.
I've been in touch with several Bruni alumni via email, but none in class of '53 responded to inquiries. a special hi to Coach Estes who is now a member of Classmates.com!!!
