Helen's Story
Life
Was curious to see if anybody I know was listed. Have sent one e-mail to one school mate. Since graduating from Sabin, then Grant, I worked for two years in Portland. Got married in 1963, moved to Pullman, Wa. Spent three years there helping support my husband through college. He graduated with a B.S. then a Masters in Civil Eng. We moved to Sacramento, Ca., had two sons born there. Moved to Alaska in 1970, had another son. Divorced in 1974, lived an interesting life. Lived three years at a Early Warning Radar site, north of Nome, Alaska. Lived and worked there and it was, after having my three sons, the most interesting part of my life. chool and continued their education. My oldest son is a journey man architect (not yet licensed), middle son fights forest fires in Alaska and lower 48 when needed, my youngest son is a structural fireman in Anchorage. They are all my pride and joy. I have two wonderful grandchildren and I adore them greatly. I get to see them once a year as they all live in Alaska. I have a significant other and he is a wonderful man. We have a great time together. He took me to me his family in Ohio, had never been East of the Rockies. Wow, we live in a beautiful area, with Mountains, and big trees. I have been back in Oregon about 6 l/2 years. Want to connect with some of the wonderful friends I had in grade school and of course Grant. Hope this finds every one from the class of 61 doing well and enjoying life to the fullest.
