Helen's Story
Life
Well, I moved before the start of my Senior year. I ended up graduating in Pomona, California and there is where I met my husband and started a family. I worked in retail ranging from a jewelry store to a lumber warehouse. My husband started working for the State Of California/Centinela State Prison in Imperial,CA in 1993 so we moved down there. ant(OA) in 1996 and my husband and I split up shortly after. With four beautiful children I knew OA salary was not going to support us so in 2000 I went to the Correctional Academy and became an Officer. I still work at Centinela and love every minute.
July 18, 2011, I promoted to Correctional Sergeant. On January 21, 2012, I became a Grandmother and Love the sight of my beautiful Baby Boy Sebastian.
