Hi Y'all.... Well, it's been a long time since connecting with most of you from 'back in the day' at CHS, but after missing the 40th Re-union due to last-minute eye surgery I had, I thought I'd try reaching out this way so that those of you who still remember me might know what happened to me after leaving Galveston back in '68. After a period at Texas Women's I moved to New York to work and stay with my sister, Juanita. Hated the weather and the crowds of people and called it quits there after a couple of months..... Moved to L.A. in the Spring of '69 and met my future husband there (Robert ). We dated for a few months and were married that December. Our son was born the next year and I was a stay-at-home mom for the next couple of years taking care of him. Finally went back to work in '72 and enjoyed a career in Human Resources at several major banks in the greater L.A. area over the next almost 20 years. We bought our first home in Pasadena, Ca. back then and lived there until the early 90's when we moved out to Riverside County, Ca. After settling in I started a successful small consulting business dealing with job placement and recruiting. I enjoyed it and eventually sold it when I was ready to take a break from working too many hours... ( lol ).
