Helen's Story
After High School I took a year off to find out what I really wanted to do with my life. I knew I wanted to go to College I just didn't know exactly what for, after a year off from school I was at Centralia College taking class for Commercial Art. After 2 years of college my life took me to New York City where I became a nanny for 4 years. I Lived a in a little town called Rye, it was 15 minutes from Connecticut and 1/2 hour from the city. So my adventures took me both ways, more so into the city where i spent most of my time going to museums, watching Andy Warhol movies, going to flea markets, my favorite past time shopping, and taking classes in Art History. After the 2nd year of being a nanny I needed more so I applied for a waitress job...Expand for more
in a diner. I of course got the job so the weekdays I was a nanny and the weekends I was a waitress.
I adventually ended back over here in Lacey to help take care of my neice and nephew so my sister could go to Michigan for a short stay to be able to buy her Restaurants. I stayed to help her out.
And I never went back there to live, But I have been back there to visit, once I even dared go back there on a grayhound bus. It was the three and a half day adventure just to get there I will never forget.
Now I am back in Centralia living in a house with my beautiful daughter, a stubby tail black cat, a six toed cat with six brand new babies.
I think once you leave Centralia you never want to go back it just draws you back.
