Roger's Story
I graduated from Blytheville High School in 1974 and since then I have earned a living doing just about anything that kept me above water, so to speak. I moved to Atlanta during the Bush administration and became obsessed with the idea of writing a novel. This idea plagued me for fifteen years during my tenure in the big city before I sat down and began to make good on writing the Great American Novel.

gress toward the completion of my work. Writing a novel takes a lot out of the individual. For one thing, you take great pains to make sure that the lives of your characters have been ordered to perfection. That is, the truth that you want to illustrate in your book is true to life . . . life as you have known it . . . and the characters and the setting that you have placed them in should be a reasonable portrait of who they are and what they aspire to be.
