Henrik's Story
Life
Nowadays I wear a sports jacket to work. Still feel a bit awkward about the formal guy in the mirror. Life has been good to me. I am since 1994 married and have 2 super kids. One of each kind. After highland HS I put in 2 years at UNC in Greeley. There I connected with a fine girl who during my military service convinced me of how cool everything was on the east coast. I followed her advice and moved to Vermont - New England. At Univ. of Vermont (an absolutely grand institution) I finished my undergrad. studies. And after that ceremony graduate studies felt appropriate so I continued with a Master's at Iowa State Univ. in the metropolis of Ames, Iowa.
What I studied? Sports medicine, Work physiology and Health Administration. Pretty good combination I thought and I guess it works.... I still work in the field of Heath Car...Expand for more
e Admin. for the city of Uppsala. A city of approx 200 000 people about 1 hour north of Swedens capital Stockhom. Anyway, upon completion of the graduate studies I returned to Sweden which after nearly eight years had become a distant exotic country in the far north of Europe.
Needless to say - the return was a process that could have been smoother, but ok I guess. During this time I was seriously comtemplating returning and settling in the USA. Instead, I ran in to my future wife and felt after a year that Europe needs me.... smile. And I am still here.
I have been back a couple of times. Fun every time.
Thanks for reading and if you feel like it send me a note. / Henrik
