In in Grade 13, we played bridge in the cafeteria while the Principal was upstairs in our class giving out our first term report cards. The principal had to make an extra visit to 'the caf', as we called it then, to hand me and my buddies our report cards. The principal, Mr. Ellis, was rather dum...Expand for more
founded, but somehow rather understanding at the same time. You see, that year, for some strange reason, the school decided to make attending classes optional for Grade 13 students as long as they kept their marks up. Needless to say, it was an experiment that was not repeated the following year!
